Medical Technology Awareness Week 2026
The MTG’s annual Medical Technology Awareness Week Parliamentary Reception this year will take place on Monday 30th November, in the House of Commons Terrace Pavilion, 2:00pm – 4:00pm, hosted by Danny Beales MP (Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Access to Medicines and Medical Devices).
This year’s reception will focus on ‘Building an NHS That Keeps Its Promise to Patients’, exploring how the health service can turn its ambitions for innovation and patient access into meaningful change.
The event will mark the formal completion of the MTG’s Commission on Culture, the culmination of a two-year investigation into how NHS culture impacts the adoption of innovative medical technologies, and what needs to change to ensure patients can benefit from proven innovation more quickly.
Throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to:
- Engage in conversation with leaders across the health and life sciences sector on the practical steps needed to deliver policy ambitions.
- Hear directly from patients and clinicians about how MedTech is improving outcomes and transforming lives.
- See first-hand a showcase of cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of care delivery.
- Enjoy refreshments and networking with colleagues from across Parliament, the NHS, industry, and the third sector.
For the first time, the reception will open with a live podcast session, where expert speakers will discuss topical issues facing the MedTech sector.
We look forward to bringing together MTG members and stakeholders from across Parliament, Government, and the health and care landscape, to discuss the progress of the Government’s health agenda, and ways to improve timely patient access to quality medical technologies.
